Michelle Grenier, MD

Dr. Michelle A. Grenier is a board-certified pediatric cardiologist with over three decades of experience caring for infants, children, and young adults with complex congenital and acquired heart conditions. Trained at Johns Hopkins and Children’s National Medical Center, Dr. Grenier has held academic appointments at some of the nation’s most respected institutions, including the University of New Mexico, Cincinnati Children’s, and Texas Children’s Hospital. She has taught and mentored countless medical students, residents, and fellows and has been repeatedly recognized for her teaching excellence, including honors such as “Subspecialist of the Year” and “Exemplary Teacher.” Dr. Grenier’s clinical expertise spans fetal, transthoracic, and transesophageal echocardiography, cardiomyopathies, Kawasaki Disease, myocarditis, sports cardiology, and the prevention of sudden cardiac death. She is also a national leader in outreach and rural pediatric cardiology, having developed and delivered cardiac services to underserved populations in New Mexico, California’s Central Valley, rural Kentucky, and the Texas-Mexico border. Her leadership in imaging programs has included directing ICAEL-accredited echocardiography labs and implementing quality assurance protocols across multiple institutions. A frequent invited speaker and panelist at national and international meetings—including the American College of Cardiology (ACC) and International Kawasaki Disease Society—Dr. Grenier is widely published in peer-reviewed journals and medical textbooks. Her publications address topics such as restrictive cardiomyopathy, congenital heart disease, cardiac imaging, HIV-associated cardiomyopathy, and cardiotoxicity in pediatric cancer survivors. She has contributed chapters to authoritative texts like Critical Heart Disease in Infants and Children and Mosby’s Clinical Advisor. With a proven ability to translate complex clinical information into clear, accessible language, Dr. Grenier brings both depth of knowledge and clarity of communication to her expert witness work.
