Katherine Jorda, MD

Dr. Katherine Jorda, MD is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist with over 14 years of clinical and academic experience at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), Oregon’s only academic health center. She is a nationally recognized leader in trauma-informed obstetric care, having co-founded and directed OHSU’s Perinatal Trauma Clinic, one of the few clinics nationwide dedicated to supporting patients with birth-related trauma. Dr. Jorda has delivered invited lectures at national conferences, contributed to peer-reviewed publications, and received prestigious awards for teaching, leadership, and clinical care.

As an Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at OHSU, Dr. Jorda has mentored countless medical students and residents, leveraging her expertise to foster the next generation of healthcare leaders. Her leadership roles include serving as Interim Residency Program Director and Associate Residency Program Director, where she enhanced training programs to promote excellence in obstetric and gynecological care.

Dr. Jorda’s research and clinical work emphasize respectful maternity care and improving outcomes for patients at risk for perinatal post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). She has successfully collaborated on funded grants to develop interdisciplinary models of trauma-informed care and has published in top-tier journals. Known for her ability to translate complex medical concepts into accessible insights, she serves as a trusted expert for advancing compassionate maternity care.
